Cette étude examine comment les patients cancéreux qui reçoivent des soins d'infirmières spécialisées en soins palliatifs communautaires diffèrent des autres patients. Le recours à ces infirmières de fournir une expertise dans le contrôle des symptômes et dans le soutien aux familles est compatible avec les objectifs de soins palliatifs, et semble donc approprié. Des recherches complémentaires sont toutefois nécessaires sur le sujet.
