Quinze années après une première enquête, ce texte revient sur les rapports que des habitants entretiennent avec l’espace riverain de la Garonne. Il souligne le déclin d’une catégorie complexe ancienne, « les ramiers », et l’émergence d’une nouvelle forme de rapports sociaux plus restreints. Ces évolutions posent question au vu de l’inflexion actuelle des politiques publiques relatives aux cours d’eau.. The Banks of the Garonne River and its New InhabitantsThis text goes back, fifteen years after a first survey, over the relationship that inhabitants have to a Garonne riverbank area as well as to each other. It underlines the weakening of an old complex category, the ramiers, and the emergence of a new kind of social relationship more restricted to the Garonne riverbank. These evolutions raise questions in the context of the present change in the public policies devoted to rivers.. 15 Jahre nach einer ersten Erhebung beschäftigt dieser Artikel sich erneut mit der Beziehung, die Anrainer der Garonne zu ihrem Fluss haben. Es zeigt sich der Bedeutungsverlust einer komplexen alten Kategorie, nämlich die der „Tauben“und das Aufkommen neuer, begrenzterer sozialer Beziehungen. Die Entwicklung wirft hinsichtlich des Umgangs mit der Natur die Frage nach der Rolle der öffentlichen Politik auf.
