International audience. This person-centered investigation sought to understand the main configurations taken by three critical components of job crafting (i.e., reducing demands, seeking challenges, and seeking resources) among distinct profiles of employees. We also aimed to investigate the longitudinal stability of these profiles and of their relations with a series of outcomes (i.e., job satisfaction, work engagement, work performance, job boredom, and turnover intentions). Capitalizing on a sample of 415 employees who completed the same set of measures two times across a three-month period, our results revealed four profiles: Very Low Job Crafters, Moderately Low Job Crafters, Active Job Crafters, and Average Job Crafters. These profiles were moderately to highly stable over time. All outcomes also differed across profiles, with the worst outcomes being associated with the Very Low Job Crafters profile. Interestingly, the Active Job Crafters and the Moderately Low Job Crafters did not differ from one another in their associations with the most positive outcomes, except for work engagement levels, which were found to be the highest among Active Job Crafters.
