International audience. This section examines the adaptation trajectories of livestock farms in contrasting territories located on three continents, over a long time span of several decades. Theresearch outlined here aims to: (i) reconstruct these adaptation trajectories, with specific emphasis on the evolution of the role of grazing; (ii) understand the determinantsof these trajectories, whether local or global; (iii) assess the extent to which these trajectories are consistent with sustainable development.
