International audience. Upper tract urinary tract infections that require hospitalization have been the focus of national recommendations in 2018 by the French society of infectious diseases (Spilf). We here propose to discuss several complex-challenging situations: severe infection with sepsis, pyelonephritis in the pregnant woman, management of infections involving multiresistant bacteria and infection in polycystic kidney disease.
