National audience. Overweight and obesity are associated with quantitative and qualitative defects of sperm cells. Male corpulence probably has an impact on fertility and has to be considered in case of infertility, including when sperm parameters are normal. Few data suggest that weight loss could improve sperm parameters, especially total sperm count. Nutrition appears as a fundamental element for the clinical care of both members of the couple, but also inseparable from other environmental factors.
