Les auteurs ont analysé les données provenant de quatre études portant sur les expériences de fin de vie de personnes souffrant d'un gliome, d'un cancer de l'intestin, d'une insuffisance hépatique et de faiblesse. Ils ont trouvé que les patients âgés de 70 ans et plus recevaient moins de soins palliatifs que les autres. Ils tentent d'expliquer ce résultat.
