Toutes les équipes médicales des services de soins intensifs ont à prendre des décisions concernant des limitations ou des arrêts de traitements. Mais à l'heure actuelle, il n'existe pas en France de recommandations officielles. Cette étude menée auprès de 113 unités de soins intensifs françaises avait pour but de recenser le nombre de situations et les décisions prises en collégialité ou non.
