L'article présente l'étude réalisée sur l'implantation de services de soins palliatifs en Catalogne sous l'égide de l'OMS. Il décrit le système de santé de cette région, puis les principes et buts de ce programme. Il donne les résultats obtenus aux différents niveaux : structures, activités, formation, accès aux thérapeutiques opioïdes, aspects législatifs et économiques. Des tableaux récapitulatifs reprennent et résument ces données. Une analyse est effectuée sur l'efficacité globale de ce programme et les points à améliorer.
