La sclérose latérale amyotrophique (SLA) est une pathologie à pronostic létal très élevé. L'intérêt manifesté par ces patients pour une euthanasie ou un suicide assisté est étudié. Cette étude fait suite à une autre enquête qui a été effectuée auprès de malades et d'aidants naturels. Elle se base ici uniquement sur une évaluation auprès d'aidants naturels, en incluant une partie des personnes qui avaient déjà participé à l'analyse précédente et qui sont interrogés après la mort de leur proche. Les facteurs recherchés et mesurés sont donnés dans un tableau statistique récapitulatif. Deux symptômes sont plus spécifiquement repris : un sentiment de désespoir et la sensation d'être un fardeau pour les autres.
