Cette étude décrit les cas de deux patients cancéreux avec douleurs résistantes aux opioïdes ; l'administration de kétamine intraveineuse a permis d'améliorer le contrôle analgésique et d'obtenir une meilleure qualité de fin de vie. La discussion porte sur les mécanismes pharmacologiques qui pourraient expliquer cette efficacité. Un protocole thérapeutique est également proposé pour l'administration de cet anesthésique en tant qu'antalgique.
