Assisted dying : Citizens' jury calls for law change in England

Article indépendant

LIMB, Matthew

A citizens’ jury on assisted dying has concluded that the law in England should change to permit assisted death in the form of both physician assisted suicide and voluntary euthanasia. Assisted death should be lawful for people who have a terminal condition and the capacity to make their own decision, says an interim report on the 30 strong jury’s deliberations,1 published by the Nuffield Council on Bioethics (NCOB) on 13 September.
