International audience. The development of chimeric mice bearing the components of a human immune system to serve as animal models for "human" diseases has been the goal of many years of research. In this review we will discuss the latest advances in this field, their remaining shortcomings and challenges to the generation of new models of mouse/human chimeras.

International audience. Many species of bacteria use quorum sensing to sense the amount of secreted metabolites and to adapt their growth according to their population density. We asked whether similar mechanisms wo...

Agonist-driven development of CD4+CD25+Foxp3+ regulatory T cells requires a second signal mediated by Stat6.

The factors that induce Foxp3 expression and regulatory T (Treg) cell development remain unknown. In this study, we investigated the role of STAT4 and STAT6 in agonist-driven generation of Ag-specific Foxp3-expressing Treg cells. ...

Murine plasmacytoid dendritic cells induce effector/memory CD8+ T-cell responses in vivo after viral stimulation.

International audience. Like their human counterparts, mouse plasmacytoid dendritic cells (pDCs) play a central role in innate immunity against viral infections, but their capacity to prime T cells in vivo remains u...
