The present invention relates to compounds that function as inhibitors of metallo-beta-lactamases (MBL). The present invention also relates to pharmaceutical compositions comprising such MBL inhibitors, and uses thereof in the treatment of bacterial infections. More generally, the present invention finds applications in any field wherein microorganism-producing MBL must be removed.
