Because of its geographical location in South America and its permanent links with France, French Guiana has been exposed to epidemic waves of Covid-19, sometimes from Europe, sometimes from Brazil. In early 2021, the gamma variant that arrived from Brazil rapidly replaced the historical virus, with an apparent increase in morbidity and mortality. The severity of this variant has been little studied outside Brazil. The primary objective of our study was to compare the clinical severity of Covid-19 due to the gamma variant with the other variants circulating in French Guiana over the same period. . La Guyane, du fait de sa situation géographique en Amérique du Sud et de ses liens permanents avec l’hexagone, a été exposée à des vagues épidémiques de Covid-19 venant tantôt de l’Europe, tantôt du Brésil. Début 2021, le variant gamma arrivé du Brésil a très rapidement remplacé le virus historique, avec une morbi-mortalité apparente accrue. La gravité de ce variant a été peu étudiée en dehors du Brésil. L’objectif primaire de notre étude était de comparer la gravité clinique des Covid-19 dus variant gamma aux autres variants circulant en Guyane sur le même période
