International audience. Coelioxys coturnix Pérez 1884 is an uncommon species whose male identification remains uncertain or difficult with available publications. A study of the material contained in the MNHN collections and material lent by M. Schwarz permitted us to confirm some of the Pérez and Dusmet’s described diagnostic features and to find new ones. Those morphological features are illustrated and included in a key to make easier the distinction between C. coturnix and close species. . Coelioxys coturnix Pérez 1884 est une abeille peu courante dont l’identification du mâle semble incertaine ou difficile à l’aide des travaux disponibles. L’étude du matériel contenu dans les collections du MNHN et de matériel prêté par M. Schwarz nous a permis de confirmer certains éléments diagnostiques énoncés par Pérez et Dusmet et d’en identifier de nouveaux. Ces critères morphologiques sont illustrés et repris dans une clef afin de faciliter la distinction de C. coturnix vis-à-vis des espèces proches.
