Sensometrics approaches in sensory and consumer research

International audience. During the last few years, significant advances have been achieved in sensory and consumer research. Accordingly, sensometrics which is devoted to the analysis of data arising from this research field has also made significant progress. A review of recent advances in the statistical treatment of sensory and preference data is outlined. Problem areas are identified and avenues for future investigations are suggested.
