A rare location for a common tumor: Lingual lipoma

International audience. Lipomas are the most common benign tumors in human body but their occurrence in the oral cavity is very rare. They present as a slow growing, yellowish submucosal and painless mass. The treatment consists of a simple surgical excision. The histopathologic examination confirms the diagnosis. We present a case of tongue lipoma. . Les lipomes font partie des tumeurs bénignes les plus fréquentes, mais ils restent cependant relativement rares dans la sphère orale. Ils se présentent comme une masse sous-muqueuse indolore de couleur jaune et de croissance très lente. Le traitement consiste en une simple exérèse chirurgicale. L’analyse histologique de la pièce permet d’obtenir un diagnostic de certitude. Nous présentons un cas de lipome de langue.
