This letter comments on the letter by Kaloostian .We appreciate the comments from Kaloostian and Shil1regarding our work on plasma neurofilament lightchain (NfL), progranulin (PGRN), and frailty usingdata from the Multidomain Alzheimer Preventive Trial(MAPT).2As they suggest, several variables might beintroduced as covariates due to their potential influ-ences on either NfL concentrations (i.e., impaired kid-ney function and COVID-19 inflection) or musclefunction (i.e., under the treatment of angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitor [ACEI] and vitamin Dinsufficiency).
