International audience. Recent research studied the complexity of the taxonomy of the genus Eleotris (Teleostei: Eleotridae) highlighting the presence of cryptic species in the Indo-Pacific area. Eleotris species are one of the most common fish in lower and medium parts of insular freshwater streams. Here we studied specimens from several localities in the Indian Ocean and we described three new species (Eleotris diamsoi, E. sahanaensis, and E. valadei), and we redescribed E. pellegrini Maugé 1984, E. vomerodentata Maugé, 1984 and E. soaresi Playfair, 1867. A key for Eleotris species from West Indian Ocean is provided. . Des recherches récentes ont souligné la complexité de la taxonomie du genre Eleotris (Teleostei : Eleotridae) mettant en évidence la présence d’espèces cryptiques dans la zone Indo-Pacifique. Les Eleotris sont des poissons communs dans les parties basses et moyennes des cours d’eau insulaires. Nous avons étudié ici des spécimens de plusieurs localités de l’océan Indien et nous décrivons trois nouvelles espèces (Eleotris diamsoi, E. sahanaensis et E. valadei), et nous redécrivons E. pellegrini Maugé 1984, E. vomerodentata Maugé, 1984 et E. soaresi Playfair, 1867. Une clé pour les espèces d’Eleotris de l’océan Indien occidental est fournie.
